New phone old me.
Hello lovely,
This is how they greet you, with a big smile on their faces — then go behind and report you to the manager. If you know, you know; if you don’t, you don’t. Don’t ask me any further, I might get a query tomorrow morning.
Today was another beautiful day for me. I intend to make every day of this month memorable, and I’m so intentional about it — bad energy stay far away. So yeah, after work today, I came home, spent a few minutes making a list of things I needed to buy, and proceeded to the supermarket. I planned to cook beans, had to make sure I bought everything required… even though I forgot red oil because I thought I had enough at home.
When I got back from the market/town, I didn’t waste much time. I started cooking while I was on a long call with my Big Sister. She’s my gist partner — sometimes we can talk for hours. I’m a good cook. In fact, I’m not a cook — I’m a Chef. But people find it hard to believe, and I’m not ready to convince anyone. The ones who have tasted my food can attest to this. I can cook white rice, Indomie, yam, spaghetti, custard … the list is endless. Just that sometimes, you might taste salt with a sprinkle of rice. *evilGrin.
Not gonna lie, the beans I cooked today was fire — I wish you could have a taste. *tongueOut
Can I ask you a question?
I ordered a new phone a few weeks ago, it was taking longer than I expected to be delivered. Now and then, I kept tracking it to see how soon it would arrive cause my patience was growing weary. I was anticipating the new phone so much — daydreaming about the videos and pictures I’d take with the camera, imagining the moment I’d finally trash my old phone because it’s really pissing me off now. I’ve had that phone for a long time and it’s long overdue for a replacement.
Fortunately, my new phone got delivered today. I opened the box and it was everything I dreamed of. Guess what? That was the end of it. I’ve left it in the pack and I no longer feel the thrill. This has happened to me a couple of times. I get so excited when something new is coming, but as soon as I have it, it just becomes… basic. Maybe I’m in love with the chase more than the thing itself.
Anyway, I’ve left the new phone somewhere in the drawer. Just know that whenever you see me uploading nice pictures, that’s a sign that I’ve finally brought it out.
I remember nostalgia made me buy a PSP a few months ago. I was so happy waiting for delivery. As soon as it arrived, I played one game and the thrill was gone.
Do you feel that way as well?
Meanwhile, I know someone who is the opposite. She gets something new today and she’s testing it instantly. Zero chill pill. I hope she’s not reading this. If she does, will she beat me? Or are you part of the zero-patience gang as well? *rollEyes
Alright, that’s all about my day. Catch you all tomorrow.
Make it a December to Remember, lovely!
*blowKisses
